Our e-mail circulation has grown to over 100 addresses.

·         Sustainable Stockton Meeting.  Sustainable Stockton will NOT hold a meeting this April.  However, for our next regular gathering, we would like to meet for breakfast.  Please join us on Thursday, May 7, 2009, at 7 am at Emy J’s in downtown Stevens Point (a menu is available on-line at http://www.emyjs.com/id17.html).

Minutes from our March meeting and the May agenda will be forwarded to committee members closer to the next meeting date.

·         Local Discussion Group. A new community-wide discussion group will begin on Thursday, April 2, 2009, at 6:30 pm in the Rotary Room of the Portage County Public Library in downtown Stevens Point.  The discussion will focus on issues related to climate change using materials developed by the Northwest Earth Institute.  Learn what others around the country have done as families, as individuals, as businesses, and as small advocacy groups within communities, to create a more ecologically sustainable culture.  To find out more, come to the first meeting on April 2nd or call 592-4051.  The discussion group is co-sponsored by Farmshed and Sustainable Stockton.

·         Radio ShowEvery Tuesday afternoon from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm, Eric Olson (of Farmshed, Center for Land Use Education (CLUE) and the College of Natural Resources at UWSP) does a sustainability radio show on 89.9 FM called “The Terminal Moraine”.  Give it a listen!

The movie is free, open to the public, and sponsored by Sustainable Stockton and MREA.  Popcorn will be provided; please bring your own beverage.  If you have questions, please call 592-6595 or 592-4051, or 592-4423.  More details are available on the attached poster.  In addition, feel free to duplicate posters for advertising these events in our community.
